ARCHE Procedures

  • ARCHE cross-registration is not a guarantee that you will be registered for the class you are requesting. You must always have an alternate plan should your application be denied.
  • ARCHE applications are exchanged from your home institution on or near the application deadline, Emory University’s ARCHE cross-registration coordinator will begin to notify visiting students, after the deadline when the registration period will begin and end.
  • Visiting students will pay their home school’s tuition and fees. However, special fees (lab fees, parking, etc.) must be paid to the host institution.
  • As you prepare to come to Emory, we wanted to make sure that you are aware of Emory's immunization requirements.  Even though you may be here only for one class or semester, the requirements will apply. For information about Emory’s immunization requirements, please visit Emory Student Health’s website.
  • Most importantly, if you decide to drop or withdraw from your course at Emory University, you must notify the ARCHE cross-registration coordinator by email, arche2@emory.edu. You will receive confirmation of your drop or withdrawal by reply email.  Failure to send notification may result in an "F" grade being submitted to your home school.
  • An official copy of your transcript with the final grade will be sent to your home school, free of charge.  You do not need to order transcripts for final grades.  This transcript will be sent to your ARCHE cross-registration coordinator as soon as all grades have been posted. Students who have any academic or financial holds or receive a grade of Incomplete should recognize the time limit for removal of a grade of Incomplete; and must not exceed the deadline for removal of a grade of a grade of Incomplete.  It is the student’s responsibility to request an official transcript from the host institution once the academic or financial hold or grade of Incomplete has been satisfied, and a final grade has been assigned for an Incomplete.
