Transcripts

The academic transcript is an official record of a student's grades. In most cases, electronic transcripts are delivered within minutes of placing your order. Transcript requests for paper copies are normally processed within two business days of receiving your request. Please allow additional processing time for legacy records, students who attended prior to 1990.

Emory University has partnered with Parchment to issue official transcripts. You can order your transcript 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and you can track the status of your order online at any time.

Please note: Beginning September 15, 2022, all current and former students will have to create a profile in Parchment before placing their next transcript order. The profile setup is a one-time process and can be completed using any email address – not just an Emory email!

Transcript requests placed online through our Online Ordering Service

A document can be uploaded at the time of placing your order through our Online Ordering Service. Please do not upload incomplete attachments or documents that require Registrar completion. If you do have a document that the Registrar's Office should complete, please send it via email to transcripts@registrar.emory.edu before uploading it with your transcript order.

Transcript requests placed in writing

Every effort should be made to place your transcript request through our online ordering service (directions above). If you cannot do so, please contact the Registrar’s Office for alternate instruction, and email the document/attachment to transcripts@registrar.emory.edu. Regardless of order method, we must have proper authorization from the student/alumni requesting the release of the transcript.

This means that your transcript will not print until fully graded date.*

For fall term grades, this date is usually the first week in January. For spring and summer grades, fully graded date will be the second week after the term has ended.

When choosing this option your transcript will process after "Fully Graded Date" of the current semester. Please only choose this option during a term of attendance. If chosen after the term has ended, your transcript may not be processed.

*The Law School’s fully graded date is later. Please contact the Law School for more information.

Degrees are not posted to the transcript until the School certifies its graduating class. This usually happens 7-25 days after commencement. Law School graduates should contact the Law School for the exact date that they will certify degrees.

Please only choose Hold for Degree if your degree has not been awarded yet. Choosing Hold for Degree after your degree has already been awarded will prevent your order from processing. Hold for Degree transcripts will print once your school confers degrees for the current semester.  Degrees will not appear on your transcript until after degrees are conferred.  Please contact your school for exact date.

If you are graduating and need a transcript with your degree on it, select the “Hold for Degrees” option when ordering the transcript. Your transcript will print once degrees are certified by your school.
